How to set up a galaxy projector for the dreamiest room

Nebula on the ceiling in five minutes. Where to place it, the best settings, and how to get that dreamy drifting-stars look everyone's obsessed with on Instagram.

A galaxy projector is the fastest way to turn an ordinary room into something magical. Here's exactly how to set it up for that swirling, cinematic nebula look.

Where to place it

Dial in the settings

Start with the green laser stars on, then layer the blue nebula cloud over the top at low brightness. Turn the drift/rotation on slow, fast rotation looks gimmicky, slow looks cinematic. Use the remote to fade the brightness right down once you're in bed.

Make it a whole vibe

Pair the projector with a small warm night-light for balance so the room doesn't go pitch black, and you've got the cosiest movie-night or wind-down setup going.
